Story Behind the Song:
I wanted to write a lively song in a Russian tradition. Leon Trotsky was an early Bolshevik lead in the forming of the Soviet Union. He was oppositional to Stalin and exiled to Mexico in 1929 and later assassinated in Mexico. I chose wrote this song to portray the spirit and celebration of this leader.
